Spare Keys Maker

I recently bought a blank spare key from ebay for my 09 gsxr 600. I took it to Walmart and Homedepot, but they can't do it for me. Anyone know of any shops I can go to make my spare key from a blank?

Not looking for expensive dealerships that charges $10-20.

Thanks

Anyone know where I can get Ducati black key blanks and have them cut? I think I can program the key myself.

If you can program it yourself they can cut it.

As Patrick stated. Nearly every Lock/Key shop can handle that.

You have to go to a real Lock/Key shop. Not a booth in a store. Did some spares last week cost me 5$.

There is a locksmith up on 1960 after the bridge going west on the left side next to O' Reilly & the Italian restaurant. They cut my Suzuki blanks a few years ago. I think they charged me $2.50 a key.

I got a bunch of bike keys cut at the locksmith on the NE corner of W Mt Houston and Veteran Memorial. The only ones they didnt have are the Aprilia keys with internal grooves. They could cut it if I had the blank.

I have bought key blanks off fleabay and brought to them to cut. He might have the blank but I like some of the fancy blanks you can get on ebay... dirt cheap and OEM quality straight from China or Hongkong.

The guy on VM has keys and can cut them? That sounds closer than Spring or 1960.

I guess I would rather have OEM keys but if it is just a few bucks then whatever works. This is what my key looks like, I guess all shaped similar should have the chip.

+1 for these guys. I've only had them do motorcycle keys but I've seen keys in the shop with built in keyless entry electronics and chips.

usually around 5 bucks for a plain key

Looks like an unchipped key blank is a few dollars, and chipped one is about $32. The shop off VM might have the blank. You could check before ordering off ebay.

Bravo Key and Lock, 1756 Westheimer. Tiny little place beside a green gas station. Think it was $8 for two keys on my Ninja

At memorial mall. There's a little shop right at the parking lot in front of Sears. I had my Ducati key cut there.

ace is kind of a odd store. each one has a different owner and setup. mine has a legit locksmith guy.
