See the blue lines? 1/4 mile strip right by my house. We have tons of backwoods roads that are an absolute blast to play on. Before we were on street legal tards we hit these on our conversions, and track bikes.....few shifter carts made it time to time. Ride all day and might see a cop, and they could care less.

Good riding along the Levee, shoot through LSU and take the river road. Good rides through the swamps back of Galvez and also behind Blue Bayou.

A full Saturday to explore the Big NO would be a blast! Gonna hit up a few guys I know down there and see if they have any good routes.
I've done some big scooter rides, but those routes are all about the speed limits.

My inlaws live about 5 mins from Blue Bayou, down highland, a tad past Airline. There are a few good roads around i'd like to hit up. , just highland by itself would be a fun little ride. Very scenic.

If you just have to get away from the inlaws one weekend hit me up. If you don't have the tard I've got a handful of scooters.

I just moved to Lafayette (sometimes I'm even there)! Are there any good roads around me? So far, everything (south of I-10) is flat and straight.

I need a good route that will get me out of town and away from the city.

Nothing really entertaining that I can remember offhand. Try looking at some routes heading towards Delcomb (sp?). Also there are some good back roads a little farther West that run from I10, through Sunset and towards HWY 190. Some of them will certainly test your suspensions ability to soak up "mid corner" bumps (craters and foothills) but there are a fair amount of good ones. I can't say exactly which ones, I just run through there to bypass traffic. Anything around Crowley to Laffy, North of 10, and you should be able to find some fun stuff. No many popo out there either.

I used to ride River Road on my road bike (bicycle) back in the day.

Have you ever hit the roads going towards Angola? I have ridden those a few times on my motorcycle. Pretty nice.

I always LOL when I hear about "Angola Road". We always used to love that ride. Had a bunch of fun times on the roads from St. Helena to St. Francesville too!

Best ride I ever had was the Trace, on a 30 degree morning, with tires. First one to our gas station had to buy the Hot Chocolate. I lost my fear of sliding that day!

I've been on a ton of roads up 49 North past opolousas (spelling?). Lots of awesome backroads if you know where to look. Our hunting camp it out there.

Don't think that Ford is all great either. Just had everything under the hood replaced, long block, turbo, both heads, intercooler etc...
Had a nice window in the block lol
