I'll be a little more mobile by then and would be glad to help. I have a bit of experience changing plastics, I use to not believe in frame sliders... :BangHead: Needless to say, I have done my fair share of swapping plastics. Do you know if any of the brackets from your fairings to the frame/engine are bent? If so goto bikebandit.com and order some OEM replacements... If you plan to track your bike it might be a good idea to have a set laying around. My set came in handy a couple of times. I only have Kawi parts though. :( sorry! I work off of 529/Spencer about 1 mile south of 290.

PM me when you get the parts in bud.

I don't think they are bent. But i'll invest in some. I'm thinking Spencer Highway in SE Houston. . I think there are a few in the Houston area. I appreciate your help if you still wanna come down. My friend is letting me borrow the unit until the bike is done. I couldn't ride it home.

No prob! I'll give you a PM when everything comes in. Which reminds me. . Can someone help me figure something out. When my bike came down it broke off the frame slider and now there is a silver "ring" in the hole where the slider used to be. I tried to pull it out but it's stuck in there. Does anyone know if that's part of the frame or is that a piece or the slider?

Depending on how bad the accident was you might want to check and see if the frame has been cracked, bent, or damaged in any way....

If your frame sliders broke... u might want to get ur mounts checked. When my kawi went down the frame sliders broke off and I had to get new mounts

Did you have Vortex sliders? Were they no-cut offsets? Please tell us so we know what not to buy... Sliders are supposed to save your frame and mounts, sounds like a bad install or crappy brand slider.
