After the accident. .

Hey guys. . I was in an accident recently and I was wondering if there is anything else I should do after replacing the plastics on my bike. It was mostly cosmetic damage and the bike starts up and runs fine. Should I still swing it by a shop and get the motor and brakes checked out? If I should then could someone refer me to a good shop? Thanks!!!

how bad of a wreck? what all was messed up what all hit the ground?

if the nose hit anything you wanna make sure the front end is all inline. aside from that if nothing else hit to hard you dont have alot to worry about.

if the forks, triples, and clipons are all inline and feel good then i would bet there is nothing else wrong.. pending how long it was on its side you may pull the plugs and let it sit incase there is oil in the cylinders. hmmmm... thats about it. if it was anything more than that i'd take it in to a shop and let them do it.

If I am not mistaken... wheelie. Did you wreck it doing a wheelie or something else?

No. I was coming down Fairmont going around 50, when this truck RUNS the red left turn light on Burke. I was in the far left lane heading towards Beltway 8. I had to swerve to get outta the way and he tapped his brakes. I hit his rear bumper and lost control. It came down on the right side and slid. Frame sliders saved me from alotta damage. . like I said. . it's mostly cosmetic.

I'm starting to order most of the plastics for my bike. They should be here in about a week. I'm storing my bike on Spencer and would appreciate some help putting them on. If anyone got some time to spare and wouldn't mind helping me out it would be greatly appreciated! Heck. . i'll even pay for lunch!
