I'm here working, I stay in a campground and don't really have anyplace to do it during the week. When I go home it's a 4 hour ride, get home about 10PM, kiss my kids and go to sleep. Saturdays I do whatever the kids want, Saturday night is either date night with the wife or my 14 year old daughter and sunday we generally go shooting or ride then I leave and head back to Houston around 4.

Generally I do all my own work, when I have time. Rebuilt the Cummins in my dually last year.

If I had garage space to borrow around here......campground has "storage" with now elec and no lights.

a spanner wrench and a flat head screw driver take care of the rear. Its not like you need a shop and a lift.

Ratchet and sockets, not to mention the rear spring, fork springs, oil, might as well change the seals while I'm in there....

All smartass aside, I'm not working on anything outside, in the dark, where I can't leave it torn down if I don't finish.

I also don't eat Mexican food, but I don't mind if you do.

I'm sure nearly every post of mine sounds that way. According to many that is the case anyway

Yeah, I originally read your post as adjusting pre-load and damping settings, but yeah, if you're swapping out springs and such without a space to work it can suck.

Give Patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited a call.

Has anyone tried Ace Motorworks? It's in the Heights and might be another option for people in town. I've tried JD Cycles and didn't like them and I usually go to Metric Motorcycles who do good work but can be hard to get in touch with sometimes. I just saw Ace on Yelp and was gonna take my bike there so that I could have some options within the city. I know everyone recommends motorcycles unlimited, but it's like 30 miles away for me.
