I have a full akraprovic. 08 r6 and I also did a full m4 exhaust on my 05 r6. They are track/race bikes though. Street bike id probably just get a slip on or full if its not hard on your budget

None! I had the cans gutted on the VFR. Now the sound of the V4 makes me smile every time I ride.

I have a Yoshi slip on, only because I got it dirt cheap. I'd go with Akra, all things being equal.

Put a Leo Vince GP Corsa on my little 300 ... Leo Vince is a good non expensive pipe .. normally have the price of other pipes. I was looking for sound because my stock was so quiet ... so I got what I was looking for at $200 bucks. I could have spend $400-500 and got a deeper more even sound but I achieved my goal for less $$

Okay thanksguys yes ive looked at the fulls theyre very expensive. And slip on
Seems to be the choice for street bikes not to mention price. Can you guys tell me why you chose the ones you did? Was it the sound or weight or anything? And also did you get them dynod after? And you dont need pc3 or zfi if youre just adding a slip on do you or will you be losing hp?

Yeah if you get a full or slip on youll want a power commander. Anyway just hit up house of paint for a full yoshi exhaust or even slip on. (281) 651-1961

Yes you will notice power gains. Yes my 08 r6 was dynoed, yes my bike did loose weight.

As R6racer said. Get a ECM tune or a PC at the same time. ALL, and I mean ALL bikes in the US come running lean to meet EPA regulations when sold. High flow air filter and high flow exhaust with no PC/ECM tune=Burnt motor. You might lose a little low end torque as well due to lack of back pressure.

Akrapovic designs and tests their slip-ons for a stock factory set up, so you won't need a power commander unless you just like spending money

I have the m4 slip-on on my 08 CBR 1000. I love the sound of these pipes. On my bike and on others. Its a very deep, throaty sound. Not high pitched like some others. It's VERY loud though but still sounds good. 2 brothers also have a nice deep tone on the CBR 1000's.

Assuming this is the 08+ CBR 1000RR you are referring to, I'd say Leo or Akra.
