West Houston Newbie

Hello all - I finally purchased my first bike today. Well, I really wouldn't call it a bike, a Dual Sport. It's main use will be on trails for now & will be taking the MSF course as soon as possible so I can get on the road.

Looking forward to the input & knowledge from this forum, as well as any meets and/or group rides with similar level bikes. Wouldn't want to slow anyone down.

Thanks
Danny

Great looking bike! I've only been on the 250f but you can't go wrong with a dual sport.

I live in katy and ride a xt250, maybe we can hit up some trails some time.

I'm OK riding with big bikes. I just like to ride.

I've got a buddy with a 250 that rides the forest a lot and loves it. But our schedules never work out.

I'm right outside George Bush park by the westpark toll way & 1464. It's considered Richmond for some reason. There are fields behind my house that I ride in for now. My old forgot how much fun a bike can be.

Here is the field I ride behind my house. Very simple trail & would most likely put an experienced rider to sleep. Easy access in & out. Very muddy last few days. If anyone wants to ride here, let me know.

I work @ Bair Forest & Hwy-6. And live on the other side of I-10.

Looks like we got a group of new guys all in the same area.
