Wrecked Bike question!

Friend has a 2004 CBR, ~10,000 miles on it..dropped it and the front is messed up. He wants to just sell it instead of fix it. I believe the damages are fairing bracket stay, headlights, upper cowl fairing. No suspension or rim or brake or any other damage, just those. (No it is not me lol, I have a r6, so no bashing!)

his question is "How much can I get for the bike as is if I wanted to sell it?"

Thanks evvvvverbody!

Is it a 1000 or a 600?

dang, he's in for a good surprise lol 2.5k is pretty low

he looked up all the parts, and total to replace all those was like 600? I think he should just fix it, or maybe I'll buy it and fix it

upper fairing.. $250 on ebay
upper stay $70 on ebay
headlights $200 ebay

so say $500 and thats low, ...

now ya got $3k in a bike that you know 1 flipped a stoppie, 2 looped a wheelie, 3 he rear ended someone.

YOU DONT DROP A BIKE AND UP THE HEADLIGHT, AND NOT **** UP THE SIDE FAIRINGS... you can flip a stoppie and pull that off though.

now maybe he rear ended someone and just messed up the front.. but he didnt drop it.

thats why i say $3k.. someone tells me a fukd up story like that and they can expect to be lowballed for lie'n.

not killing the messenger.. thats why i said "he" and "they" not you. just giving you the heads up so you can give him the heads up.. if he wants to sell it.. expect to be lowballed unless he finds a dumb kid that dont know jack... or come with a better story.

if he put the $800 into making it look new(thats how much i truly think it would cost with what you said) then tell people it has never been down and get $5.5 or $6 for it.

tell him to fix it, lots of plastics and parts out there for this bike. That will raise his selling price by atleast 3k. If he wants to get rid of it real bad then i got $500. lol/jk. Btw dont let him sell the bike without letting the buyer know of the damage please, just a man to man request.
