2009 Suzuki GSX-R 600 Oil Leak

I bought a gixxer from a dear "as-is" from Beaumont about a month ago. Didn't realize this before, but the oil is leaking from both sides of engine gasket. It's not drastic leak, but it's slowly leaking. I'm pretty sure some sealant would get it fixed up, but I want to take it to a shop that can get that fixed and do a check up on the bike..(oil check, air filters, etc).

I want to do the check up this Saturday if possible to make sure the bike is in good shape and do some riding afterwards.

yeah it would help us if you post some pictures or tell us where the oil leak is coming from.

Anyway House of paint is a sponsor on here as well and is my favorite shop, he's up by 45 and louetta. 281-651-1951 is the shop number, give them a call and let them know whats up. Or you can go to motorcycles unlimited too, im sure either one will treat you right.

Bring it by and I can look at it. We normally keep a lot of the common gaskets for the GSXR in stock.

Here are the two pictures for the bike's leak. There's leak on both sides. Theres a bolt missing on one side. The other side seems like the stator gasket.

They told me you came by Saturday shortly before we closed but I was in the shop.
Thomas said the bike looked pretty rough.
You're going to need a stator cover gasket and clutch cover gasket at minimum, as long as none of the covers are cracked, and that missing bolt is just "missing" and the threads aren't stripped.
From the pic it also looks like the engine oil is way overfull as well.

Yeah the gentlemen told me that those things needs to be fixed before it's good for riding. He also gave me an estimation for the fixing, but since I'm in a budget crunch, I'm reviewing my options for the cheapest way.

Got the bike for about 4600 out the door, cash.

I love the bike, it's my first 600. But I can't believe a dealership would sell a bike with oil leak problems. But it's not a major issue.. I just gotta get it fixed, that's all.

The bike was dropped hard on both sides, the body fairings are pretty scratched up. And the tail fairing is cracked. (Maybe a wheelie went wrong.) Anyways, I'm not worried about the cosmetics right now.

as patrick stated, it appears to have been overfilled to compensate for the leak. you need to park the bike until you can afford to get some gaskets or you're asking for engine probs (either from over or under filling the engine, which are both bad)

there are many fellas on here who can help you wrench the bike back into shape if you get the gaskets online they will be cheaper.
