There is interest in a big group ride it seems, but no one wants to organize it?

If you build it they will come...

Because it would require some to a lot of time and money. The person orgainizing would have to most likely print out a few hundred fliers and go to every bike night/event to hand them out. In order to get the best turn out they would have to post on every website, and form to also get the word out. Plan a meet spot, and the ride route that could accomidate a lot of bikes and hope it does not rain that day. Plus it might take a few years before it become "big" and have it like an annual event like the ROC does.

Plus a ride of this size would most likely lead to a lot of chaos. Which would undoubtedly a lot of cars off.

Its just a fail. Not song, or poem or even short story between friends much less generations worthy (epic).

A ride of the magnitude implied needs at least a year of planning and a few sponsors to complete. Houston has WAY more riders than ROC ever will and getting most of us out on any road in Houston would pose way more problems than it does for ROC. It can be done, we all just know it needs to be done right, until then almost no one will show.
