I'd assume they'd be making fun saying something along the lines of, "hey mom, why does that man have a big head...he looks like he's going to space"

I love it when kids do that! Especially mine when they are around someone who doesn't know I am their mom...They light up! :icon_bigg Oh, they especially light up when they tell someone "hey thats Shawn (Noctem)! " Because he rides a hotter bike than I do, for now
BTW... The FZ1 is for sale...It is listed on this site. (shameless plug)
My jr high daughter loves it when I pick her up from school... OMG... I am going to have to start carrying a gun again to keep the boys off of her who drool when they see her leave on a bike.:eh:
But I must say it is the best feeling when want to ride with me, I know they are having a blast!

Good post..

Love to see the kids smile and faces light up when you pass by.
Even better kick when they go crazy cause you wave at them.

Say fly. when we going to go riding?

That happened to me today. I was cutting through this neighborhood and this little girl was on one of those Little Tike motorcycles. She saw me and just started smiling and waving! And it felt good to wave back b/c thats probably all she wanted

I wave at all the kids in my on my street as I go by. They all know me and sometimes when the approach the edge of the sidewalk, I'll slow down and talk with them.

I also wave a crossing guards in school zones ... need to make sure they know they're appreciated too.

FUDGE YEAAA!

to me, thats honestly one of the cooler perks of bike riding. it always makes my day when that happens. i love when the kiddies stare and i wave at them...they slowly wave back in awe, wondering why i waved at them and not their parents etc...the best part about it all is...

...i remember being that kid....

in fact, one of my early memories in being in the car on a long road trip. i bike must have passed us at like 120 or 140. i hardly saw it. barely a blur, so i didnt really get to see it. but i heard and had some idea that it had to carry a person, and about what size it was...and i wanted one!

i remember seeing them after that, and actually getting to look at a bike for 2-3 seconds. nose pressed against the glass and all. :laughing6

you have to know that just by riding our bikes and these kids seeing us, we are the ones inspiring them to be the generation of riders.

I always wave at them because I can remember waaaaaaayyyy back when and it was ME that was looking out at someone on a motorcycle and thinking to myself "someday that will be me riding on the motorcycle".

I cant help but grin ear to ear when i see a kid staring at my bike. Especially in this day in age, where kids are not imressed easily. I always wave back and give them a salute as i go by.
