After reading the posts, I've also been getting that weird feeling lately but mostly while I'm sitting here reading. but once I get on my bike, I clear my head and concentrate on riding.

It doesn't help though when stopped at a light, the person in the car next to you says "I know someone that had a bike just like that. He went down the other day doing 150mph." How do you respond to something like that?

When I ride on the street I tend to ride more aggressive. Like riding in a higher gear than needed always paying attention to cars around me. I remember Tony Rodio saying always leave yourself a way out. Not that I ride crazy or am a speed demon, But it makes he feel like if I need to dodge a car or truck ive got the power and the opening.

I've always listened to those feelings. Its one reason I'm still riding and skiing at 62.

I rode to work last night and felt kinda nervous..
Then two ricers cut me off on 45N and I opened it up and smoked them ( I was actually practicing collision avoidance techniques!)

I pulled off to the slow lane and just cruised at 70mph. They kept going North and I hit the beltway west. The bad feeling was gone.

I'm pretty sure someone in a car like theirs managed to kill themselves as well. Bikes are risky, that's a given, but sometimes it seems like people think they're invincible with four wheels instead of two. Hundreds of thousands of people are injured or killed in automobile accidents every year, but when you get a new car nobody gives you that "Dude, those are dangerous!" speech. Not that I'm trying to say the risk is the same - bikes are more vulnerable and when things go wrong it hurts a lot.

I've had that strange feeling once or twice also - go with your gut and listen to that little voice.

its nice to know i'm not the only one that feels that way.

its never really bothered me that much while riding...i think about wrecks and stuff sometimes while on long cruises.....but the other night was a different feeling altogether.........i love taking late night solo cruises, but i was so happy to just get off the bike and lay down on my bed

Honestly, i've ridden so much in a parking lot and been off the street's for awhile that I get that "weird feeling" now whenever I ride on the street's. One day i'll return to the street's, but not just yet...:eh:

I'm glad you made this thread, now I don't feel like I have a mental disorder! I keep the bike under the cover when I don't feel up to par myself.
