I know it wont be brought up because the riders are cops, buuuut, if they hit the car hard enough to spin it a 180, is it possible they were speeding and then the car driver couldnt judge their distance properly because if they were going the posted, she would have had plenty of time to cross their path.

RIP none the less

There shouldn't be a whatif to begin with. If someone negligently kills one and seriously injures another, then made a statement that implies she was more worried about the damage to a rental car..... obviously anyone stating something like that about a situation this serious should at least share the source. How could you misinterpret that?

What, he should give his friend's name and address? Get real. The was drunk. Drunks say a lot of stupid and she probably didn't even realize she killed anyone. She also tried to blend in with the crowd according to witnesses.

At 30~40mph? Seems a little far fetched unless the camaro just came out of the carwash.

Maybe you could disprove it with a physics equation or crash a HD 2up into the quarter panel of a camaro

Last night after celebrating my birthday, the family and I saw an accident happen right in front of us. A camaro pulled out of a gas station off the seawall strip and cut off a motorcyclist. The motorcycle hit the camaro's driver door so hard that the car spun a 180. We pulled over to see if they were going to be ok, and it was such a sad scene and it's still in my head. Both riders were not moving, there was a lot of blood underneath the woman's body. The young girl driving the camaro was freaking out, but sadly instead of checking on people she hit, all I heard her say was "omg , I just rented this car and I didn't get the extra coverage on it " really? I wish I could find out of the couple on the motorcycle made it.

Frankly any quote that is to be taken seriously should have some kind of reference. Especially about something that will end up in court. I shouldn't have to explain that, even if you just assume its no big deal it is still a valid consideration.... Troll on.

1. Anything posted on this site about this accident isn't going to be read in court
2. If his friend told him what he witnessed, how would you like it referenced? How would you link an email?
3. Are you drunk or high?

I'm not that good at physics but if he hit it at or behind the rear axle there is a good chance it could spin around.

So both riders had no gear? Speed limit is 40 on Seawall. At that speed a helmet can really save you from death. If he was speeding, AND didn't have a helmet, I have a problem throwing away the key on the girl.

If he was on a liter bike and wasn't a cop, the sympathy level from media and police would be zero.
