Hit and run in Midtown

My bike got knocked over on Sat night, and banged up pretty bad on the right side. I have a few questions about what can and should be done about it if anything. A few witnesses got part of the plate and the make and model of the car the chick was driving. She sped off once she realized people noticed her back over it.

I called HPD, filed a report etc. Is there anything else that can be done? My throttle is sticking now, the bike sounds strange when it's running and my rear set is bent up and feels strange when using the brake. Yes I have full coverage with my insurance.

File it under your uninsured motorist, your deductible should be $250. All your insurance company needs is that case# from HPD and you should be ok; your case should be classified as a Failure to Stop and Give Information, which is basically a hit and run. Some hit my wife's car a few weeks back and didn't stop and leave his information and we just filed it under uninsured.

I learned many years back to never back out of your driveway in this city w/o having "unisured/under-insured" on your policy.
