Thanks Brena, but I have three other spots to fill first from others who were able to cancel on time.

It's like this that makes me wonder why I should bother giving your ungrateful self somewhere to ride safely. Oh that's right I don't deal with enough , so I offer trackdays. And people wonder why trackday providers are not more accomodating? What would have happened with LSTD? Ride Smart? You'd be S.O.L. and looking for someone to buy your spot. Sorry man, it's in writting just a few threads over, and Doug even posted it for you above. Have some honor and do the right thing or risk it up for everyone else who is capable of following simple guidelines. I give you a written poilcy for weather, cancellations, get the corner workers and ambulance everyone wanted all which cost money. Perhaps we just need to go to a prepaid system like everyone else and charge the riders the extra fees? Is that what you wou
ld rather me do, than expect you to own up to your comitment?
This isn't about honor. Don'try to pull that card out. Its about you being worried about losing the 186.00 becuase you believe that it won't be filled in one weeks time. If thats the case then you may want to rethink your cancellation policy.

So Buck you PM'd that I should have let you know friday. When on friday? Friday night, Friday morning, what?
So technically I was 6 hrs late in letting you know. In the big picture being one weeks time, does that six hours make a difference in you being able to fill that spot.

LSTD and Ride Smart are a non factor, becuase you pay for the event when you register. So in that case I would have to sell it or just forfeit my funds.

I'm all about honoring my commitments, but don't try to turn this into some crusade for your trackday organization, in the process making me look like the bad guy. I went above and beyond in letting you know about the cancellation.

1. I emailed on Saturday. No response.
2. I sent you a PM on Sunday, telling you to check the email. (No response)
3. I finally get a response on Monday with you being about me being late 6hrs when you don't respond to my e-mail for two days.

Now who is splitting hairs here?

Don't try to label me as being ungrateful by my stance on this issue. You know nothing of me or my character, so lets not go there. Great, you provide trackdays for the local sportbike community. But saying that me not attending on Saturday will jeopardize the future of your business is a stretch. If you want to "ban" me from your events in the future then I am ok with that as well. I know that I attempted to abide by your "honor system" in good faith.

Three things prevent me from attending this event.
1. My bike is still awaiting parts from my last crash at MSR
2. My ankle is still swollen from that crash
3. Due to manpower issues at work, I have to work on this saturday. Not by choice, but rather being forced to work.

Since you are a man of honor I would think that you would be flexible seeing the circumstances of the situation.

Had I never tried to contact you at all, and just not showed up is a complete breach of your honor system. But that is not the case.

Honor implies flexibility. You trust us to stand with the commitment that we made to attend the trackday. You provide a way out with your 1 week cancellation policy. In my book Saturday to Saturday is a one week timespan. Enough to find a replacement.

The only issue is the week time frame. Sorry about your ankle. Sorry about your crash, and very sorry you have to work. With the exception of work were these things you didn't know about before Saturday at 2pm? If you had sent your email Friday night or even Saturday morning at 7am we'd be happy. My arrangement with MSRH is that I flll it up and it keeps happening. Don't fill it and it goes away, and ya'll ride somewhere else. I guarantee a safe track, low numbers, and more seat time than most can handle, and all I ask is SIMPLE adherance to the set guidelines. I think you are making a big deal over not a lot. If it fills you are off the hook (< that is HUMOR) and if not you have a choice to make. Cut and dried, that's how it is.

F**** It. I'll pay the money to you if it don't fill. If its about finances then let it be about finances, but lets not try to turn this into an honor issue or an attack on my integrity as you insinuated in an earlier post. You're in the hole 4 riders, which is about $744.00, which is a nice piece of coin when the track rental is due.

I think that is the main issue and not if I e-mailed you on Friday night vs Saturday afternoon.

I garantee that if this had been a sell out trackday, with 10 people on the waiting list. Then you wouldn't have given a if I cancelled the next day or not.

So Buck lets just call a spade a spade and leave the personal attacks on my integrity out of this. Send me a PM tonite on how and when you want to get paid.

Heads up guys and gals........

The 1pm session will be a memorial ride in honor of Eric Roman who died in an accident last night. Most of you know Eric as the Blk/Gry GSXR 1k that always blew by you at some point durring the day, chasing Alan on the yellow bike. He never missed a trackday and he won't miss this one either. Just so you know, the 1pm session will probably be very crowded with street folks out to pay their respects to a talented rider and a good friend to all he met. Sorry for the imposition on your day, but Eric was a fantastic guy who deserves our respect and rememberance. See you all on Saturday morning, hopefully Eric will have some pull with the Big Man and we can look forward to nothing but sunny trackdays from here on out.

No problem Buck, the street guys will not be impossing. Happy to give up a half hour to ride for a fellow rider.
