it sounds like all of these recent accidents have been riders in excess of their limits and the speed

so if you ride under control, safe and smart ,why would you just STOP riding ?

sometimes you dont feel right about riding. call it fear but if i dont feel "it" or just cant focus on riding, i dont ride.

we need more affordable tracks so we have less excuses to go and release our need to go fast on the streets.

everyone need to grow up and drive slower and stop trying to show off. My bikes Stopped going over 100 a long time ago, but you can still get hurt at slower speeds.

that what it seems to me also. Most recent wrecks have been because of what the rider did and not so much from an outside source.
What has happened recently will not stop me from riding one percent. may evaluate WHO i am riding with but not riding in general. Gotta have self control and be smart about speed and where u use it.
again my 02

What your replies do mean is that your mind work about as logically as a toaster.

YOU SHOULD EMBRACE FEAR EVERY TIME YOU PUT A LEG OVER YOUR BIKE.
So, if you guys are telling me that you dont have any fear when you ride, then that must mean you think you are invincible and that nothing can happen to you.
So, I ride with fear in my heart and an honest appreciation of everything that can go wrong. This fear tempers my actions and keeps me riding safer.
Ive been down 3 times on the street and everytime I enter an intersection I cringe. I know what wrecking feels like and I know Ive been lucky, but I still fear what could happen.

Tell me that Im going to become a "statistic" because I dont let fear prevent me from riding is idiotic.

So, let recent moto deaths keep you off your bike for a week, and go ahead thinking ill be a statistic soon, thats fine. Im going to keep my fear in check, respect my bike and cherish my life.

If you let fear make your decisions then you are not free nor are you free thinking.

I would prefer NOT TO RIDE IN A MEMORIAL RIDE EVERY MONTH OR RATHER EVERY WEEKEND!!!

I think we all can CHOOSE the right time to ride fast and it's NOT in between traffic!
