LOL @ insurance

So, I called State Farm to get a quote on a busa and ZX14. Full coverage, theft included, $500 deductable. The Busa came in $10 cheaper then the ZX14 at a WHOPPING $56/month. Which is exactly $10 more then I pay now for the Triumph..

Jeez. Seems like SF is nothing, if not consistent. Doesn't matter which bike I ask them about, they quote the same price, which unfortunately for me so far has been about twice what Progress/Geico/Allstate wanted. I'm curious to call them again just to see how it would look to move my bikes over.

I've had my house and a minimum of two cars at a time with them since '07 when we bought our house (married, over 25, clean driving record, etc.). Called them back when I first started riding about getting an early '80's CB750 and they quoted me something like $1600/year.

I had the same thing happen to me, my agent said what that meant was, they WOULD insure me... but they didn't want to.
No explanation given, so I went with Progressive and never looked back.

F&$k me..Nationwide quoted me $9800 a year for full coverage on my 2013 zx6r, and like $80/month for liability only. Sounds like I need to shop around.

I was with State Farm for 20 years and thought the same thing about their rates. I assumed they could not be beat. I had 2 cars and and 2 motorcycles on policies with them.

When I finally did start shopping around AllState blew them away. Saved me over $500 a year with better coverage and better service. Also picked up home owners with AllState which helped. I have recently changed again and saving another $250 a year again with better coverage.

About a year and a half experience. No traffic violations or wrecks on either of the bikes I own. Also have 2 cars on the policy. One speeding ticket in my truck, but nothing to justify a yearly rate that is higher than the price I paid for the bike. Might have to check out State Farm.
