Yes we will be doing rides with limited number of riders. A group that had more than 8 riders starts to get too large to keep up with.

Also something always to consider before going on rides that are over 200 miles away from your house:
* make sure your tires are not close to the wear bar.
* Radiator guard is a must (SysKnight please chime in)
* good towing coverage.
* make sure your bike is legal
* make sure your brake pads and chain/ sprockets are good.

That's a very good point...

AGREED. Jim I need help fashioning a radiator guard like Sohil's.
When are we scheduling the next ride?

I was thinking of doing another 1 day trailer ride to only hit the "sweet spots".. i got a 290 mile route with only the good paved "curves"

Yeah, Jimrad and I fabricated one. Not hard to do and works very well. We used

straightened them out, cut them to fit the guards and zip tied them. Worked very well.

1. I need to join you guys next time for sure. Jim you are awesome and Danny thanks for pics.
2. +1 on sport touring tires like the Pilot Road series for these kind of adventures. Traction you need, Longevity you want. It'll do what you expect out of your PP3. PR4's now available too...anyone try the Bridgestone counterpart, BT-023?
3. I used that too Sohil and this was my result. The edge is just weather stripping for a cleaner look. Works great and I highly recommend for everyone.

Me measuring out the radiator with curvature and flattening out Lowes piece:
2013 08 19225423 zps5c296ad5

Finished product:
2013 08 20001129 zps621dd2d0

You can also use the mesh garbage can from Bed, Bath & Beyond for $5. I did one of those too on a friends cbr1000rr and the mesh has even smaller openings and a natural bend in it to hold itself in place in front of the radiator fins.

If you don't want to DIY, go with or R&G like Bevo posted earlier.

JimRad is so right, I got pelted with Gravel so many times that it stopped phasing me. My radiator guard did its job, and so did my visor.

You know usually I get a few pics of some babes on these rides. We only saw one on this ride. The jogger, I guess next time I will have to stop and take a picture of her even if she is jogging. That was dangerous, those babies could bounce up and hit her in the face.
