2006 SV650S(sold)(happy now?)

Just be patient, something good will pop up. If you have 2500 you shouldn't have to settle for one of those "custom" bikes on craigslist. they have been wrecked and poorly pieced back together by the owner in an attempt to sell their problem to someone else in an effort to reduce their loss.

I checked out quite a few bikes on craigslist. every single one i went to look at that was missing any of the original body work(ex. "I turned it into a custom cafe racer, so it's worth more!") had signs of being in a serious wreck. When questioned, Every one of the owners were dishonest about the fact that it had been wrecked. Once I inspected the bike more closely, it was easy to see that they were lying about it.

Your best bet is to look for something that hasn't been "customized"

I think that photo has the resolution mucked up and scrunched. Note the wheels dont look round either more egg shaped.

Have him text you some unaltered pics.

I have decided to just save and get an older (2003-2007) zx6r or cbr600rr.
I'm that short kid at the SE meets.

If you are looking for an EXCELLENT quality used bike, that is 99% perfect throughout, let me know. My friend is selling my old 01 GSXR1000 black/grey with 18k miles on it. I just sold it to him 6 months ago, well he just had a baby and now his wife is giving him about the bike. I think he is going to want $5k for it. Bike is gorgeous. I owned it for 7 years and put 98% of the miles on it, I performed all of the maintenance etc.. Its a great bike for $5k ish..

If interested PM me. He has not posted it for sale yet, he is still trying to talk her off the ledge about it but.. It's probably coming.

319hp@14lbs(pump gas), 435hp@29lbs(race gas)
Texas Mile Mar 09, 225.906mph, 8.82@168.43 w/1.63 60'-14.5lbs

They hold up pretty well in crashes. Never had an electrical issue with mine but a good steering damper is a must. Throw the rear shock and spring in the trash and it will take about another 8 lbs off the bike while you're at it.

I have a pretty good relationship with mine and I don't think I'll ever part with it.
