I believe AF1 has some good deals on 2013 rsv4's right now. I don't know if that helps or not.

Back to Aprilia I say. You liked your older one. The RSV4 is dominating right now for superstreet...I like the MV Agusta Brutale and Dragsters tho as a "cool" bike option to own.

Whatever you decide, hmu after so we can ride again.

I believe now it's $2000 off on remaining models. Rsv4 for $12k or so, would buy.

Agree on the Brutale being a cool bike to own (specially the last edition), but completely different bike if you are not used to naked bikes. The wind is a at high speeds ...

Id say RSV4. Its light and nimble. The s1000 only beats it at the very top end in a straight line. The RSv4 has SOUL factor.

The new Brutale Dragster is sick. Thinking of moving this summer so may need another commuter bike. This is on my short list. Also like the naked BMW coming out. Supposed to be a lot of bike for a lot less money than the Brutale and Tuono.

Are you looking at the Factory and HP4 version of both bikes? Or base model? I think the RSV4 factory is the best all around bang for your buck bike! For what you get for under 20k can't go wrong! If I wasn't such a big I would have gone with that bike over the BMW!

At 1st I would say go with your 1st love, no 1 ever forgets their first bike. No matter how expensive it was to maintain, or how uncomfortable it was on the streets they all have learned to adapt and in their mind its the best bike in the world.

On the other hand riding with you S1K seems to fit you best. You seemed to be one with the bike compared to they yelllow ducati, and the black (or was it blue) RI you had.

Get the RSV4. You will instantly gain the ability to pop 3rd gear wheelies up 290 at 120mph.

The S1kRR is an amazing bike but it comes alive above 10k with a crazy top speeds, it feels like a big bike when you ride it and sound and feel like a japanese bike I would say.....now it is a very confidence inspiring bike...I had mine for over 2 years and loved it....til I totaled it on a BORC ride...

The RSV4R APRC feels like a 600, light and nimble, amazing low and mid range torque and there is no other bike with this V4 sound especially with a short pipe.....I would say it has more character and feels like a race bike....
I am finally getting used to it and love it......I have the 2013 did minor changes like -1 front and upgrade the damper.....and now I am back at BORC pace
