@1340high - my build won't allow for stock air box. I'm using the pod filters.

Thanks Patrick! I will try and report back.

fuel came through...

now...could it be belts? or valve?

OK I could be wrong,
but in effort to look towards the simple things first.
Can you cover the pod filters with something to make them more restrictive?
Just trying to start the bike here not tune it for the low restriction filters.
You need a significant vacuum in the carb venturi to pull the fuel up out of the bowl
At low cranking speeds and even at idle you may not have this without air restriction on at the carb intake. (I assume the mikunis you have do not have internal fuel squiters)

Good luck with the build looking forward to reading what solves this.

thanks!

So I check the valves and my horizontal opening is a little off by like 0.002 I believed.

I'm working to get that corrected. Then put on new belts. and Run a compression test to see if i can further identify the problem.

So the list is:
1. I have sparks
2. I kinda have fuel (not sure why)
3. The fuel pump might be bad so I'm working to find a rebuild kit
4. Run a compression test.
