Can an R1 really run 190mph indicated?

Wow, I was really impressed to see a vid of an R1 running 190mph indicated.

This is a cool video, he's passing cars like they're standing still.

can't really go off the speedo, need either radar or gps to get your true speed. Stock speedos have more inaccuracy as speed increases.

I have a radar if you ever wanna find out.

Yeah, stock speedos aren't accurate at all. The vid was kinda like a joke but you caught on pretty good.

12v volt power = 1 car battery and a lighter socket wired to it should be easy.

I got my friends 00 r1 to 192mph indicated, all it had done to it was a yoshi slipon and jetkit.

Could have had his teeth off on his sprocket too, that makes a huge difference to your speedo.

i have had my busa speedo showing well past the 186mph mark once or twice. The speedo is off on most sportbikes, some 5% some 15 or 20%. that makes a BIG differace. put on a yellow box or speedo healer and check with a gps THEN see what your bike can really do. My busa with the speedo healer now and my big would maybe have to huff and puff to hit the 190+mph even with the TRE

I've seen this happen on the R1 when i had it once. Very stupid mind you, the R1 in the video is either a 98' or 99' pre- speed restriction and that particular Busa, prolly a 99' did not have the speed restriction, so i would say yes, while modified. INDICATED SPEED, NOT ACTUAL tho.
