400EX owners come in

How do you like your 400ex? I'm thinking about picking one up to play with, just wanting to get some opinions on them, thanks

Great bikes. I raced one as a teenager. But with all the 450's now I'd go with a trx 450.

I mean don't get me wrong I like to be fast but not being the absolute fastest wouldn't bother me. I don't know because I've been out of the 4 wheeler scene for about ten years, but I heard the 450's are maintenance queens?

400ex is the xr400 of fourwheelers. Not the fastest not the best suspension, but its dead reliable and enough power to get you in trouble.

What the other guys said. Very reliable and enough power to have fun with. If you're not racing and don't care about being the "fastest" I'd go with the 400

I'd love to get a rzr for the wife, but I was blown away at how expensive those things are. They do look like a lot of fun myself. I've always been a 2 stroke guy and haven't looked at getting another four wheeler for about ten years and am really surprised how cheap you can pick up a clean 400ex for. I will miss the sound of a 2 stroke though.

this, and you should be able to get more power out of it later if you wanted to and still be reliable. My buddy put a pumper carb and full exhaust on his XR400 and it was night and day difference. Should be able to do the same on the 400ex.

bulletproof.

Never owned one personally (KFX 400/Z400 here) but many friends have and I have ridden. I have personally witnessed every abuse possible and they just keep on ticking.

Buy NERF bars and ride like a ! Good wheelie machines too!

We should have a ride up at the National Forest.
I still have my 95 300EX I bought off the showroom floor back in 94. Still runs like a champ.
Quit laughting. Back in 94 it was the . But to sell it now Ide only get 500 for it. Its still clean and have every bolt on made for it. It sits up on blocks in my shop coverd in dust. Hasent been driven in many years.
