Under the seat storage room

I miss the larger storage compartments that older sports bikes had under the rear seat... Both my 1995 Ninja 600 and 2003 ZZR1200 have sooo much room to put stuff than all the newer sports bikes I've seen and I'm trying to adjust to not being able to carry as much with me when I ride.

My question: do you know of newer-model sports bikes with more trunk for our junk?? I'd like to be able to carry more in my next bike

You'll just have to buy a motorcycle bag or wear a backpack

My Suzuki had plenty of storage space. Then I went with the R6 which had none. Now I have an Agusta F4 which too has barely enough space for my insurance card, and kick-stand plate. Which is why I invested in an Dainese backpack.

I liked the moderate space my 650r had. My Buell? I can't even figure out how to put the tool kit back under the seat.... they came under the seat from the factory. I seriously can't fit it. It's the OEM KIT!!!

Anyways, problem solved, plus some...
Nelson Rigg Sport 40.

example of underseat... though my signals are mounted differently, so they come though close to the tail light.

No, passenger doesn't have space for legs... but on a bike with a decent tail, and turn signals not so far forward... they would work for 2up.

I REALLY loved this bag. Axio hard top bag. After being weather like crazy as a daily bike stored outside... it still polished up like high quality auto paint. A fabric bag would've looked like .
Bike was stolen, and once recovered... it was missing. Scoured ebay for awhile... people wanted too much. I had it bolted to the passenger seat strap under the seat, so it simply came off with the seat. I could still easily access everything, just as when stock. i actually bought a 2nd seat and carved out the foam, which gave ~50% more space inside because the floor of the bag drooped instead of being pushed up by the seat.

This picture reminds me... those hypermotards have ZERO space under the seat.

As a guy i dont have to carry TOO much with me, it usually fits in my pockets, but damned if it isnt uncomfortable as . Plus, i always worry about losing my wallet or cell phone.

I picked up one of these: http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com...l.bok?no=13062

And it has been a total lifesaver. Fits my cell phone (in a clear pocket so i can still check it while stopped) wallet, keys, cigarettes, lighter, insurance card, and registration if i need em. And all that is now out of my jacket/pants pockets.

It stays put really well too (i use the drop-leg version)

I got accustomed to taking my jacket liner off (without tieing it around the triple), taking to-go lunch containers to work, not HAVING to finish my water/drinks at quick rest stops, making at quick stop for the dinner necessities‎, etc etc.... it's nice to have space.

I tried one of these once (the heavy duty version), short version, don't bother. It didn't last a week of continuous use (8 or 9 ~450 mile days).
