any good jobs out there?

So, I got fired from clay walker today. Apparently me having children interferes with his agenda. I can't jump when he says, so I got put on a day rate which means I went from 50k +insurance to 200 a day when and if his old bus moves. which is about 40 days a year. Thinking real hard about drawing unemployment. Has any one ever done this? P.S. If anyone here buys a clay walker album and supports his dumb there will be to pay, lol.

get on unemployment. my girl did when they cut her loose at the last minute from her old job. then you can look for a good job and not take the first pos job they offer and be job hopping.

don't you have to be officially fired before you can apply for unemployment? i know some places cut hours just so you'll quit on your own. that way you don't qualify for it.

that seems odd for a christian type person to use such an excuse to "fire" someone with children. You'd think being a father himself he would somewhat understand that you can't just up and go like that!

sorry to hear about this WD

on another note. just because you file for U/E doesn't nec. mean that you'll get it in every case.

I am calling all my old contacts in the rock world and have loads of leads but putting out feelers locally because I am not real hip to the idea of leaving town for weeks on end. As for unemployment, the "company" is based out of nashville TN, and I don't know if that would affect if I can get it since I can't visit any offices there.

I say just keep feeling around as long as you can get by and get a job, screw U/E, that would be my very last resort. I'll try to pm you something!

Wrong! If a job, cuts your hours you can work and draw unemplyoment for the hours cut!

my options are
A: I go out on the road and make stupid money and get out of debt and then come home and go to college

B: I hang around and work locally and do fill in driving when companies need it for short term and still be around the family but not really get ahead.

clay.

Basically I have been fired. There are no more benefits for me and no more salary. I have the offer to drive the crew bus when ever it is needed but there are no minimum hours that I put in per week so officially through the company I am a freelance contractor.

What is e&e? Pardon me for the ignorance. What makes my decision difficult is if I were to go back to rock n roll I would bring in close to 100k for a busy year. It is tempting just to go for a bit and get out of debt so I can start saving more for the kids college funds.
