new rider, midtown area

Brand new rider, just got my first bike (ninja 250) on 1/31. Love it so far, and I appreciate all the MH people that have offered to cruise around town with me and give me pointers while I learn to ride street. This community is awesome, and I'm glad to be a part of it.

Hey man I go your PM to go riding near my work location. problem is I just commute straight here and home...so unless you have found some roads, maybe we could get some suggested routes for the south side of town? close to 288 and 610?

I only know of Allen parkway and Memorial drive besides the usual downtown riding I do. I'll look around to see what I can find that would be a decent ride.

Define "midtown." People tend to use that broadly I have noticed. I'm in Upper Kirby

Allen Parkway/Memorial can be fun. Short and not a fast ride by any means, but still fun. That's about all there is inside the loop; Braeswood is curvy but slow and lots of lights, better than a straight road though

Jared

We occasionally do happy hour and dinner meets in the downtown area. Keep an eye on the meets section.

We are doing a downtown lunch next Wednesday @ 11:45 at House of Blues. Come join us.
