Lowering ZX10

I have a 2009 ZX-10 and want to lower it. Will placing the rear suspension on the stock lowering link be enough? Will it handle ok?

I am 5'6" and not very tall. However, I have been riding dirt bikes my whole life and they were always big on me. This bike is jacked up as high as it can go. That is why I want to lower it about an inch or so.

I am 5' 3" and I lowered my F4i an 1inch in the back and a half inch in the back. Honestly I didn't notice a difference. I just used a lowering link.
