Man that sucks. People think that just because they are a good rider that they don't need gear. They forget to think about the rest of the idiots on the road trying to kill you though.
I know exactly where Labarge Pipe is, hope the guys pulls through.

I actually anticipate this happening to me every time I go through a stop light....doesn't mean I won't get hit, but at least I am ready to attempt evasive maneuvers.

I can't believe how much we are hearing about bike wrecks now. Almost on a daily basis! This is so sad guys and like stated above, its never usually the bikers fault. Sometimes it is but majority of the time, its other drivers not paying attention to bikes on the road when they just pull out in front of them or change lanes not looking for us.

Anyways, I hope the rider is ok! I'm actually right here on Sheldon as we speak! I'm on my blackberry at lunch with my dad on his lunch break at baytown seafood.

I always flash my lights and cover my brakes in those situations along with finding my exit if I need too. Better to hit the dirt or grass, even pavement than slam into the slide of a truck.

+1...I always expect drivers to do stupid things in front or otherwise around me so I may not always be able to avoid it but atleast I am expecting it and can attempt to limit the effects.

I used to flash my lights, but then I thought "What if the person thinks I am signaling for them to go ahead", so I stopped doing that.

Lol. I had the crawfish etuffee and grilled shrimp with a piece of chocolate pie for desert! It was tasty!

Sorry, I guess this isn't really a thread to be talking about food.

i would highly suggest you NOT FLASH your lights, if anything hit the hi-beam and leave it there. as atizzle has said, they might misconstrue it as a "GO" signal.
