FYI, I found out that the new Universal Intercom(TM) feature listed for the SMH20 is going to be available for the 10/10R as well via firmware update.

Official Press Release

The new firmware was originally scheduled for December release, but 3 days ago they reported "We fully understand how much you guys wanted v5.0. It is not far away, though. Please understand we always want to provide the highest degree of finish for our users. Thanks for your understanding."

The universal compatibility feature is what makes it a huge selling point. That means you can talk to any friend, on any com system, at any time as long as you're paired. Even if you cant though, you can always call them like a normal telephone call.

Midland BT Next is supposedly already doing it...how successfully I'm not sure. Haven't sold any yet to find out. Mostly I sell G9's or Q3's by Cardo and people always rave about Scala Riders up and down. I wish I had more personal reviews from the Sena side as the SMH-10 looks to be quite good at ~$200 price point.

I've sold UClear's but I haven't heard the best about them, from the 100, 100Plus, and the newer 200.

I've sold a bunch of both the Sena and the Cardo Scala.
I've had minimal complaints from either, and the Sena price point is better.

I tried my friend's helmet out today with his Bluetooth and it was sooo shitty. Of course, his helmet was huge and there was a ton of wind noise. I might take his for a day and try it since it's a clamp on. He has a J&M, though and I don't know how those rank with others.

Believe it or not if you wear ear plugs in your helmet with a speaker system the audio is much better. It will never be as good as having ear phones though.

The foam tipped marshmallows work great because they are foam tipped and the size/shape of the ear bud is small so they tend to stay in better.

And they have a volume/mic/ffwd button.

I ended up getting the SENA SMH10-R system and wearing ear plugs with them. I can hear the sound perfectly at all speeds, however the quality of sound is not up to par. Compared to the annoyance with the headphones I was using, this is better, but I have a feeling I will be upgrading to something else in the future.

a buddy and I bought 2 sets(4 total) of Sena SMH-10's along with the "ultimate accessory packs)

We haven't gotten a chance to use them on the road, but we've played around with them at the office and seem like they will do great.

I love my SMH-10R, I've made calls where the other person never knew I was on the bike, and have had no issue up to 80mph while calling. And that's with the icon variant and a supermoto - not a truly quiet combination.

I gotta say I love my SMH-10R as well. @ 60mph a buddy of mine said it sounded like I was using a Bluetooth in a car. Battery life is good enough for me. I rarely out ride it.

I haaaate how it can't sync with the hbc100 n such tho. Same brand!!

What about the Sena SMH10? Or really anything else you guys may have, let's hear about it!
