Roger (Koskesh) memorial ride video *important*

Dunno if anyone has offered to take on the task, but if not, then i volunteer. I've never personally met him, but have chatted with him on the board. when i learned of his untimely death, i honestly felt like i had lost a best friend. i know its the internet, but he was a brother none the less. i was originally gonna bring the "helmetcam" that i made, but felt this situation deserved something better. so if i do this, two things must happen:

1. i wont be riding. period. i will be shooting high quality video with my 8mm camcorder, so i will be in my car getting the shots i need, or if anybody wants to help out, a truck would be better so i can ride in the bed and get some REALLY good footage of you riders. so any volunteers would be much appreciated.

the latter part of that paragraph would make for a much better video.

2. my camcorder is about five years old. i bought it LONG before i had a computer, so i didnt buy a camera that has the output capabilities of connecting to a computer via firewire or usb. in order for this to happen, i will need to borrow (for a short time) an 8mm camcorder that has this type of output so i can get it on my pc and edit. OR someone can borrow the tape from me and do it for me and put it on dvd disk and i can edit it that way.

also, any pictures of Roger that you guys may have, ESPECIALLY any video footage any of you may have would GREATLY enhance this video for obvious reasons.

i want to do this right. he deserves nothing less. let me know if any of you can/want to help out.:icon_smil

I was planning to ride but i can drive my truck if needed so you can get the footage of the ride.

If anyone else would really like to do this that already doesnt plan to ride this day, you can do it but for the sake of getting good footage, ill drive my truck if needed.

Its no big deal to me if i ride or not man. I was initially planning to but the most important thing is that everyone is there and has fun on the ride and stays safe. If i can help out, im down!

And if anyone else would like to ride with us that either cant ride or will be in their car anyhow and would rather carpool. I have a crewcab so there will be extra seats.

I would love to come so if there are seats left, I'm down

Also, I have a Mini DV Sony camcorder that I can shoot with as well, or if you (Azylum) want to use it, I'll give you the firewire so you can import the video. I really don't know how big of a difference there is between your cam and mine, but I have a feeling yours is higher quality. But whatever I can do, I will! PM me if you guys have an extra spot for me. It'd be really nice to meet some fellow MH members finally.

Pending I find a ride, I will fo sho! If not, I can just lend it to someone and they can shoot the ride. My editing software is a little much for me, (Adobe Premier Pro) so I'd have to leave that part up to you if that's kosher. Great idea for a tribute

Thats cool with me bro. I dont know what the location will be yet but whoever wants to ride in the crew can roll with us. My girl may be with me but not for sure yet if she will be off work or not yet. That would still only make 3 of us and 4 if you go. The truck is an 06 chevy crewcab and seats 4 comfortably with everyone having their own window but 5 if someone wants to squeeze in the middle in the back. Most comfortable if there is 4 people total but im not sittin in the back seat so its up to yall.

Chances are, Azylum will be in the bed of the truck for the footage but ill save him a seat in the cab if he wants it if he dont wanna ride in the bed the whole time so however yall wanna work out the rest of the seats is fine with me or if anyone wants to pile in the bed with him, thats fine too.

i will be in the bed the whole time. as details on the route follow, ill pm you details on how we're gonna do the shots. some we'll have to follow, others we'll have to be ahead, and still others we'll have to be beside the riders. we'll get it sorted out. it can be complicated.

I have a pretty good sony video camera, and may not be able to ride, If I am not able to ride then I planned on doing this as well, I dont have a trcuk tho just a tahoe. :BangHead: If you can get a truck we can rig up the tripod on some padding that way the video is not shaky at all.

I plan on riding b*tch and gonna have some video and photos from the ride as well. So I will have them all burned onto a disk and give them to you so there will be some more clips whatever that you can choose from to help make the video the best you can.

It really means alot to see everyone join together to such lengths, my mom was always worried about what would happen and such and called and talked to her last night and she read threw alot of the posts for Roger. She is now no longer worried about me as much thanks to having such a large "family" standing beside each other in the time that we needed it most.

I am so glad to have found a board that is more like a family than just people chatting online.

If I am in town not sure yet I can offer the use of my truck. I have a crewcab HD plenty of room, just would need some help removing the bed cover.
