I know they look and sound teh sh*t.

I can only guess that they would have some effect of fueling. You'd probably need to remap to accomodate the increased air flow. PCIII.

Are you talking about the Racefit slashcut?

^^Yeah, the slashcut is just a dump, no baffling. Its supposed to be effin loud, somewhere in the 110dB neighborhood.

Im just wondering if you could get a machinist to mill and cut a piece of titanium with the proper fitting for less than the $300 or so bucks they want for one. It is after all just a piece of pipe.

i've thought about this, you would need the right diameter pipe, someone with a vertical band saw, and money for the pipe and work, not much at all, line the pipe up on the bike, then from the top make a like with marker that will be your cut line ( should just clear the fairing and your foot), then deburr the pipe after its sawed, way less than 300$ , i think there a Graves pipe that looks better, it megaphones then at the end it tapers back down (kinda sound canceling), it also looks like a motogp style pipe

^^Thats one of the big reasons i didnt go with the slashcut, I didnt want the cops hassling me about it. Im not even sure they are street legal, but it was the volume that worried me.
But after a while I got to noticing the harleys and suped up diesels and they have gotta be louder.
