Is my Sedici two-piece suit track worthy?

picturephp?albumid1087&amppictureid5623

Can I race the 1/4 mile at Baytown? What about other tracks?

I don't want to go to the track and fail inspection. Thanks for the info. It has a 3/4 zipper that's small and a large 3 inch zipper. It would suck to fail inspection.

You should be fine to run the drag strip

I gotcha man, you'll be fine. you got boots and a helmet, no big dings/scratches on it? bring some gaunlet gloves too if you can if not there are some you can borrow.

any questions about the bike? and youre talking about only a drag strip? you said other tracks as well... didnt know if you meant like msrh, TWS (Texas World Speedway) and stuff like that too as well

I have drag raced cars at Baytown and ridden dirt bikes at three palms...etc

My goal is to get this 2009 zx10 on a track. I am not experienced with on-road, so everything is safety first.

Where can I find these tracks near htown or around tx?

If you mean road courses look into MSRH. It's south of Houston off 288 near Angleton.
The easiest way to get on track is with one of the forum sponsor track day organizations.
Look here for more info:

Suit looks good. Gauntlet gloves are a must and make sure your helmet is in good shape. Also make sure your bike is in good order. No leaks, balding tires, tape all your mirrors and other glass and you're ready to go!

While it's true that Sedici is not the top of the line, I have seen people wreck in $1,000 suits and have them fail.
Every crash is different and the stress the suit sees in the process is also different.
The whole endeavor of riding motorcycles is filled with risks. Wearing a suit is like wearing a helmet.
There are those that say, "only the best" and others that say, "I do what I can".

Go rock your suit and you'll be fine. Track days are about having fun. Leave your ego and most of your testosterone at home, listen to your survival instincts as well as your instructor and everything will be alright.

It should be fine for level 1 and 2 but when you start getting fast and ready to move to level 3 you may want to get a one piece.
