Insurance rates increase..

Has anyone else's Texas insurance gone up on their sports bikes? Mine went up 33%, and the insurance says its because the underwriter re-classed my bikes rating from 12 to 40. I have a 2012 Triumph D675, with no tickets and no accidents... ever!!!!

Bummer. Last time State Farm re-classed my bike it actually went in my favor and cut my full coverage down to liability prices.

Shop around. Other companies are most likely cheaper now. I would quote you but we are ok the high end right now.

That sucks.
Knock on wood.... mine haven't changed. Even with it being stolen (though they didn't pay out a dime as I didn't have theft).

Apparently when I purchased the policy, they coded the bike wrong, and the underwriter caught the error when the policy was renewed. But they did not notify me of the change. They stated I was underpaying for six months and acted like I should feel grateful. Whatever...
