All I know is that it's not illegal to park on the sidewalk if it's private property. At that point as long as the property owner is okay with it and you aren't blocking a wheelchair access ramp, inside a fire zone,(I.E. anywhere inside of striped lines), anywhere that says "no parking", ect. you should be fine.

I think it's something you have to use your best judgement on. If it's smack in the middle of downtown where you have meter maids and all that I wouldn't try it...bur if you're somewhere in suburbia in a shopping center, I would think 98% of the time they are going to look the other way.

The bottom line is if some A hole cop wants to screw with you they are going to find something to ticket you for regardless. Just try to be as respectful about it as possible and keep a low profile.

if you worry enough that your bike will get stolen, just get theft coverage and be done with it. Because you can have all the bells n' whistles billybada$$ alarm gpstracking pitbull growling fairy with a wand type of security system... if they want it bad enough, it will disappear. I hang a fresh tampon on both sides of the handle bars. seems to deter thieves.

I'm a little confused by your request, only because I am not sure if you're asking him to give his answer a lot of depth (like the Pacific ocean), or if perhaps you're asking him to give his answer like someone from the Pacific coast... so many ways to interpret this...

Guess we should leave it open to his interpretation though, might make for a more interesting answer.
