How much is this sv worth?

Its a 2001 sv650 naked with 10k miles it looks to be in really good shape and has a clean tx title. They are asking 2000$ i think that sounds like a bit high.
Im getting it to resell to my best friend at a small profit. What do you guys think of the price and plan? Oh btw his profile name on here is bob saget
Also any title stuff i need to be aware if if i buy it?

Your flipping it? Don't sign anything. Get the original owner to sign the title and the 130U form, sell to your friend and he fills out the rest.

I would pay $2k for a clean SV

650ninja, you must have been one of those kids who had to have attention, even if that meant acting like an idiot. Maybe you should think an extra few minutes before you post these type of threads. Your online rep suffers greatly from your lack of a filter.

if you were buying it because he cant afford it and you want some interest thats a little more honorable but since you didnt specify we all are going to assume your a douche if you flip it for a so called friend for a quick buck and post/brag about it.

I almost suggested yesterday that it could possibly be a "finder's fee" type situation, but didn't want to get flamed too bad.

I'm doing something similar with my cousin. He knows nothing about bikes, so I basically took on responsibility of buying the bike he wanted and making sure that everything gets fixed on it so it will work well for him, and he's paying me a little extra for my time and energy. As long as both parties know exactly what's going on and it's part of the agreement, nothing wrong with making a little money for your efforts.

2 grand for an 01? It better be real clean with some mods

I paid 3200 for my 06' SVS with 9500mi, stainless brake lines and a slip on...from a dealer. Not that you're going to be the one having to deal with it...but I would look for an 03+ so you get the fuel injection. I've seen some pretty clean 04's(better than 03) with less mileage than that go for 2 grand.

The SV is extremely popular. It's not hard to find one in good shape for cheap.

I ended up getting a nice 2003 for 1900$ just needs tires really, he loves it and plans on buying it next month. I am of course fixing the small problems and putting tires on it.
I've been trying to get him to get in to motorcycling for a year and he finally is
and I didn't know sv650's sound so badass sounds like old school muscle car/ducati
