Kind of like his response to "motorcycles wear the road out less than trucks" was: "Yeah we need to start charging even more for trucks"

All these people see is how they can squeeze every possible dollar out of you that they can get away with, not whats reasonable or fair. The more money they make, the easier their job is.

I am going to give it another shot, but be better armed. If nothing else i will help him remember is wildmen comment and ask for an explanation. Also I want to see more numbers on how many motorcycles are registered for toll tags and how many are actually using the toll roads.

Just watched the video... What a .

The million dollar question here is; if it's nothing to do with wear and tear and it's about service...and there is no difference between interruption of service between a car and a motorcycle, then why is it 7.00 for an 18 wheeler, since it has nothing to do with wear and tear?

Of course if you ask that, he will tell you they should just be charging 7 bucks for all vehicles.

I like my "criminal pass" idea from the other thread. 1000 people remove their plates once per month and do a lap around BW8 during rush hour.

I mean if you're going the petition route, I think criminal pass would get the point across loud and clear compared to the petition.

Of course ultimately I don't think anything is going to make them reduce the tolls for anyone. they're making a killing.

I do really appreciate your efforts though and you did a great job representing

It would seem as if no matter how you conduct yourself, you are a "wild man on a motorcycle"

notice he made a point to say that motorcyclists are not all just careful citizens like yourself...yet he goes on to say "YOU wild men on motorcycles really make it difficult to perform my mobility services"
So we may as well live up to his expectations and run every single toll booth possible...which BTW EZ tag called me by coincidence whilst I was watching this video to finally take care of my -25 cent account balance, so they could send me my motorcycle transmitter

He says your points are well taken, but it's "not the whole story"? WTF is that supposed to mean? It almost seems like if it were up to this dude, motorcycles wouldn't even be allowed to ride on the toll road for any price.

I guarantee that when you try calling that office to initiate some sort of "dialogue" they completely blow you off.

You don't know me. That will not happen. I swear these words will come back to haunt this guy.
Other thought is why doesn't the AMA start lobbying for reduced fees. Thats something there members would be happy for. Maybe they are I just don't know. This may also make me want to join them.

Politicians. The only thing that'll get their attention - and their hands out of your pocket - is if you can show them enough heads that VOTE.

Fundamentally, that's what the petition signing is for. Show them 10,000 heads in solidarity, ready and willing to hurt or help their next election, and I gaurantee they will pay attention.

Short of that... well.

Is that any different than any business that's "selling a service"? If a product is too expensive for you, stop using and buying it.

The difference would be that they aren't a business or a private company. They have no competition and can charge whatever the they want. The more they charge, the more they profit, less people use it and the free roads become almost useless, forcing people to pay their ridiculous prices.
