I am pretty sure that me telling them that you will manufacture flip plates will go over good. Think I will refrain from that threat.

They want to prepare for your statements. Sounds like any good lawyers tactic (sure they have one on retainer) ...know what your opponent is going to address.

To me it's just more of a sham. You set up a court date to discuss this and now the HCTRA wants to talk about this outside of court?

sounds to me like they are trying to reduce their potential loss. Akin to settling outside of court...unless I'm not understanding this right.

You're not understanding it right. He's making a presentation to Harris county's governing body. There's no lawsuit or settlement.

I was just comparing it to settling outside of court, I know there's no lawsuit.

What I'm not clear on is this: Is HCTRA trying to talk to you on the side, or is the presentation still going to happen?

Either way, it will be interesting to hear what they have to say...unless all they say is "no" and nothing else.

Early in the game on this some will probably add additional info(although I only get a few minutes to be heard) But this is what I have so far.

Update on the phone call-kind of an unrelated incident where I called HCTRA about a tag issue several weeks agoa and it was resolved quickly. They happened to see the agenda for comisssioner court, my name and issue, they put one and one together and got three.

I would change the first two graphics. I know what you're trying to show but it seems backwards. IMO the vehicles that have the most negative impact should have the largest columns.

I think your argument should be simple. It's probably too complex to change the toll fees based on weight alone and not simply number of axles or type of vehicle

I like the way it looks so far. I would take the texting and driving thing a step further and really drive home that it's safer for motorcycles to travel on a less congested road and will result in less motorcycle accidents where traffic on non toll roads is backed up because a motorcyclist has been seriously injured

I agree the first two tables are not great. maybe simplify it and say based on weight of semi: 80,000/400 it would take 200 bikes to get an equivalent weight as 1 semi. and replacing for cars 3846/400= 9.6 bikes per car weight. that would help the congestion argument and less weight less damage...

Of course there is only so much that you can cover in just a few minutes...maybe make the road damage point first and if you have time, move onto the safety aspect

The statement I want tho make I'd that it takes 9600 cars poor 1.92mm motorcycle tho the equivalent of a loaded semi. With that said I am issuing the 1:480 ratio of srmi tp cars and spplyong it to the bikes. That could be the wrong ratio but itis what I have at this time. Firtunztely I have some time ti work on this.

How many minutes are you alotted to speak? I agree with everyone so far about the numbers of the 2 graphs. I'm gathering some more info regarding tolls in other states particulary California and New York City where there is an abundance of motorcyclists. I don't think the folks care much for what other countries are doing.

Omit "motorcyclist seldom text and ride at the same time". You don't want to mention any of the bad stuff that select few motos do since people see the bad only and not the good.

Im do not understand how you got to the numbers you did, and by that point I don't know if others would or not. I don't want that to get in the way of what your goal is. I would say keep it simple for them, just my 2 cents.
