RIDER DOWN....

so me and spyderr6 decided to join up on a ride leaving from PP1......somebody on a blue zx10 went down right in front of me on 610 north by i-10. all i saw was sparks and concrete clouding.

don't know if you're on this forum. but what the happened? looked like you caught a tank slapper or something, all i know is, i almost ran into you going "pretty fast". my mirror smacked you also, because i had to re-adjust it.

glad to see you walked away from it....your bike doesn't look too good though.

I meet up with that crew at pp1 around 1:30. They told me he went down, but didn't say anything else and then they said another guy ran into a car on the way home. After I got there we did a "cruise" around houston, got messed with by the cops so we all decided to just chill after that.

Not sure if this is place to post it, but how do you recover from a tank slapper? This is something that wasn't covered in my MSF course.

Thanks

If you're still on 2 wheels, just let go of the handle bars, don't fight it.

There is a video of a guy riding a Goldwing on a high bank, induced the tank slapper on purpose, then he let go of the bars. The bike straightened by itself.
