To the OP, you are a whiny .

Here's my problem, I don't mind paying, it's a convenience. What I do mind is being harassed by the cops on my bike on the toll road cause other self righteous bag felt he didn't feel it was necessary to pay his share and t just so happens to scrutinize every other law abiding rider out there.

Just like those asswipe 610 racer .

Just because it worked for you doesn't mean you were using it at the exact same time that that their website wasn't working for me.

Are you a government employee by any chance?

So regarding the 99 thing, are you saying there will be cash lanes? Because again from what I have read the new sections that just opened and are coming soon will be EZ Tag only.
If I was mistaken about the private/public ownership, I accept my mistake.

As it stands, I have tags in three cars (including my daughter's as she works at IAH) and so far have not had a problem with the card/tag thing, but when I rented a car to drive to Florida for xmas I had to hump it into I-10 because I wasn't going to put a tag in a rental car for one trip, and the 59-I10 section is tag only. So how was that a reduction in traffic congestion on I-10? Yes the rental car had a tag, but they charge you an additional fee of $2.50 plus a per day fee on top of that for every toll crossed.

That's what I know. I've witnessed a mechanic being picked on by fellow mechanics because he was losing money by taking much longer than it should have

Kind of like quoting the HCTRA website where they are telling everyone that the money barely covers maintaining the toll road...WTF do you expect them to say? That's like asking someone who you think may have stole something of yours if they stole it or not. No one is going to go "oh yeah, that was me, I robbed you blind and you didn't even know it"

He should quit. If you cannot finish the job in the amount of time provided then they are not mechanically inclined. Being an auto tech is not for everyone. All the techs i know finish within half the time provided.

A reliable source????

Like the HCTRA website responding to the question of why they are still charging tolls on the roads they own?

I think I'll believe the french model before I fall for that one.

What do I know? I'm just a N00b. Once I hit 16,000 posts I might get smart enough to realize that our government actually isn't full of and I was just too much of a noob to understand.

Honestly, when it comes to the subject of toll road funds, I doubt you're going to find any reliable source of information.

You haven't linked a single reliable source to refute anything I posted from HCTRA
