dirty jersey. I almost feel bad. The bike had just over 1000 miles on it now, and it'll have nearly 3 by the time I get home.

Got 3 1/2 days to string together some good twisties on the way back. Goal is to stay off the highways the whole way.

Anyone in the Katy area wanna ride tonight? My plan is to ride between Greenhouse & Beltway; some paved trails, some dirt trails, maybe the Ant Hills and very few roads. Street tires are OK not planning to hit anything to gnarly and gonna stay out of the mud as much as possible.

Trucked or rode it back?

I figure if I can do 10,000+ miles on a stock XRR seat, the 690 can't be too bad.

How far are you guys getting out of tank? I think that's going to be my biggest downfall.

I trucked it and turned it into a vacation. The seat blows. Have fun.

I think its 13.....which you would need 2 13mm wrenches...one to hold the jam nut and the other to hold the adjuster....

I like them both. They are two totally different bikes when it comes to technology. I can fix the XR with a toothbrush and a paperclip. I need a computer and an engineering degree to work on the 690. I may own one again one day if the right deal comes along.
