rider down - 45 South

Rider down at 45 south and college. More than 20 police cars on scene. Saw what appeared to be a body under a white sheet...

Couldn't tell, but I think is was an older gsxr.

Not a good night to be riding with this weather.

Anyone that finds out more info, please post it.

Very true. I saw a lot of non helmeted riders through the forest yesterday. To each their own though. Sad story. Rip to the fallen...

Not wearing a helmet is such a shame, everytime I see a bike and they're not wearing helmets I just cringe! I see a fella I know show up at a bike gathering one day, him and his wife both not wearing helmets. I chewed him out and his response was they didn't have money for helmets. You bought a bike but don't have money for a helmet!

The next time I saw them about a week later, they both had helmets so it doesn't hurt to get on someone at least once!

To be honest I believe they thought it was cool to be seen and people knew who they were, not sure but that's what I'm guessing.

Pretty sad because if there's 1 area of the body you need to protect it's your brain......!

Doesn't take much of a pop to the head to shut it down, permanently!

If you can't afford a helmet, you can't afford to ride

True

But I also cringe when I see people ride without gloves. When teaching someone to ride, I said "If you wonder why I consider gloves important... look down the next time you're doing 20 or 30 mph, and think about planting your hands at just that speed. I don't care how much you think you can tuck, hold them in, whatever... your hand will be the first to hit."
