Once you make a new one, you'll find the old one lol. Always keep a spare!....Speaking of a spare, I need one as well.

Not to say you have not done this and after three weeks you probably have, but have you checked your bike? My seat has a lock in the back. I thought I lost my key and it was there.
Good luck on this.

Hey things like that happen. I lost a wallet and found it 6 months later so I can understand the frustration.

please, a buddy of mine went to a Widespread Panic concert in Austin back in 2000 and lost his truck. Seriously, could not remember where he parked it, somewhere downtown, he reported it stolen and ended up getting a new truck with his insurance money. Then about fifteen months later he got a summons from the city of Austin for unpaid parking tickets, and sure enough they had it in an impound yard after it got towed from his parking spot after six months.
Lost his truck! He's a father of two now, and we still give him merciless for it.

Good luck on this.
I've also done this. It was at a comicon, in a parking garage. My bike was sitting there all day with a key in it and those nerds didn't steal it.

For those who don't know you can go to an ACE Hardware and they make keys for virtually every bike out there, 2 bucks a key. The only one that I've had made where they don't have the original blank is a Suzuki but they have Suzuki car key blanks that work, only it has a square head.

They have blanks for Yamahas, Kawis, Hondas & on and on......$2.

Can they do it from the ignition? or are you saying they can copy a key for $2

I had a probe GT I lost the keys(I had a spare set). About a year and a half later I was changing the rear tail lights and I pulled out the tail light assembly and BAM!!!! there was my lost set of keys. I guess I had set them there when I had the hatch open.

They can copy a key for $2 which is good, doesn't help with a lost key but that's the first thing someone should do is make a copy so you have a spare. Most bike shops are like $15-$20 for a copy so Ace is a pretty good deal!
