Cota a one time thing?

Keep hoping I'll see another Td announced.

Went on shagged out tires & didn't get the full experience the first time, but I'm glad I went.

Me too.
I wish I would have followed Ty's advise of not being cheap about the event. He said: Make sure you be there both days! Well, I didn't and now I kind regret :/
I'm still hopeful that Ride Smart will get us there again...

Super V8 from Australia cancel the '14 race at COTA and the merger of Grand-Am with American Le Mans Series. That's two mayor events that COTA lost maybe they'll be reasonable with Ride Smart and it will happen.

What if Ride Smart handed them a list of all the people who want to attend another trackday there, or the weekend ,Maybe if they see the interest is really high then they will see that there is money to be made off of us

It's not CotA taking the risk, it would be Ride Smart taking all of it. CotA names the price and the rules. Can you count on 160 riders per day paying that much again.

I was there for both days and have no regrets but if I had the chance again I would likly only do one day.

Some gentlemen I pitted next to who are way more wealthy then I had apparently spoke with the COTA representative. Who said they are always open to renting the track out, however they don't feel comfortable having 100+ riders/drivers. They said if it's only 15 or 20, or something like that it's ok. But then each persons share is quite expensive. So they were ready to sign up but I unfortunately don't have that kind of cash. Not sure if they ever followed through or not. Also I can't believe V8 Supercar dropped out. And of coarse I didn't go last year in hopes to see them this time around.

It kinda makes sense that V8 supercars dropped out. You'd have to have MASSIVE attendance to justify shipping an entire circuit that usually doesn't leave australia all the way to the US for a race.

I check the track/ridesmart forums almost every day hoping for this to come back this year. Didn't get to go last year and was really really wanting to go this year. I guess I will keep my fingers crossed but not hold my breathe.

What is their reservation? Seemed like last year they really didn't want a track day either.
With the financial troubles they've had seems like our money would be good enuff for them...
