I can't say for sure. I've seen total noobs at a crawl on Ninja 250s. So it wouldn't be a speed thing. Not sure how lightweight session compares to Novice. And doubt they want you buzzing people in Novice just to be passed on the straights... assuming you keep a fast overall pace.

If you are in lightweight you need to be an experienced track rider. There are no rules regarding buffers or passing restrictions. It is some very close riding out there. I suggest sending them an email to find out about engine size requirements. I would not want to go out there on a 100cc four stroke. I plan on taking out my Husqvarna 610. I think a 250 would be the smallest bike that I would want to take out with the rest of the bikes.

I ran a CRF150R tard with the lightweight group. No issues.

Not sure what a 100 would do though.

If you are comfortable with close passes, I would think you would be ok (if you held your lines well).

Most all the lightweight group behave well with close passing.

We have let 100cc 4 strokes ride in this group, but you must be a greatly experienced rider/racer, be comfortable with very close passing, and be able to hold a very swift pace in the corners.

I've been known to take my crf100 out in a session or two, and it's a blast passing all of the big bikes in the corners. It's in 5th gear, pinned for 95% of the track..... But if the staff feels you are a danger to yourself or others, you may be asked to retire the 100 for the day.

I'm excited to return to GSS. It's one of my favorite tracks.

I'm about a second faster going CCW, but I like both directions equally.

One of my 2014 goals is to break a minute at GSS.

Thanks for the info. I can keep up a decent pace so I guess i'll have to try it and see if it's enough

Good question. I just noticed the sign up wasn't working for the GSS days.

It's still 8 weeks out, but I will see if I can get that fixed.

It would be a good idea to sign up early. Smaller track, smaller grids. Everyone's been going through withdraw from this track, all levels will surely sale out.
