Maybe Jimrad can give us a one time class. I get frustrated & upload the raw footage to YouTube. Lol

I have done that kind of thing for a while now. Tell me what you want to do specifically and I can walk you through it. I'm guessing you are using windows? Are you going to put this on a dvd? What is the total amount of media in GB or MB? Probably just as important is if your computer can handle the task. Video editing is pretty resource intensive.

Maybe its too much for your computer/laptop. Did you record in 1080p?

I downloaded the go pro video editor. It worked and I figured out how to use it to cut and edit the videos from my go pro. I spent about 2 hours going through all 4 hours of video. Clipped out and got it down to about 15 mins. I converted the clips and then got to part 2 of the editing and I could not get them all to play together. The tutorial said to drag them to the mid lower portion of the screen.. I could grab the video clips but when I tried to drop them down they wouldnt go. I use to have a older windows movie maker but lost it on a computer crash. the new one is just too confusing. I just edited out some of the interesting parts of my videos to share. nothing big not even any music. I get frustrated and would rather go shopping with my chick than with these videos anymore. And I hate shopping with her.

I have made them on this computer before, but did have the mother board replaced earlier this year but with another gateway motherboard.

I turn a wrench much better than download/install and run a program I will say that.

I recorded the video in 960 x 48 30 fps

Ok, that helps but there is still like 9,000 different directions to go with this. My first reflex, especially with windows, is to reboot if I am having any kind of "glitchy" problems like you just described. You would be surprised how often that can fix random problems. After you reboot, see if that works and tell me if you want the finished problem to go on a dvd.

I got frustrated with windows movie maker locking up (the new version on win8)... and I have plenty of power for it. It would let me cut/splice through 2hr of video... then just not allow anymore.

I switched to GoPro editor, and the clipping, combining, saving all works.... but no transition of any type, can't figure out adding music,...seems like there were other things. I haven't dug real deep into it yet though. Just tried on that one vid, and did a sample vid using their "template"... which is pretty dumb IMO.

Im updating windows, will try again. I did manage to get dvd burner to work and get the video burnt to a dvd. That was way easy.

if you are going to put them the final product on youtube, upload clips to youtube and stitch it all there.

I can't help with the windows software. I use a mac.
