Daily comuter

I currently own a 01 zx6r with a shinko rear tire and ride it every day to work (30 miles one way) just curious to see what people are riding daily (sport bikes) and what back tires there using.

Yeah that's what I meant. I was thinking of the S20 since It was the last tire I had before my current BT-45

09 zx6r
I commute daily rain or shine so I put a high mileage tire on.
I run Pirelli Angel Gt front and rear because I got a great deal on them. There great rain tires and seem like they will last a while. However I don't trust them as much as the last tire I had on.

'87 Yamaha Venture (big touring bike)
Shinko 777 (130/90-16)

The rear is starting to show a flat center "trend" after 10k miles (4500 highway miles through rocky mountains, about 5500 commuting in Houston) on my relatively heavy bike, probably about 2/3 of the way through the treads.

I don't typically push my tires nearly as hard as some of the sport riders here, but this is probably the 5th or 6th Shinko I've had between various bikes (also run the 712, 230, 006, and 009 before) and I've never had any issues with them.

i used to commute on a vfr750 with heated grips. that was pretty nice to have in the winter. my sv650 was an awesome commuter, as long as it wasnt raining. the front cylinder liked to suck in water and turn my bike into a 325cc .

It's a cheaply made piece of tire. I've seen them come part at speed and just fail prematurely. Would stop riding on it PRONTO

Same...i rode a shinko once on one of my other bikes. I found out why they are cheap. Yeah maybe a cruiser not doing aggressive riding they might be okay...but they are cheap for a reason.
