Parking Moto Downtown

Anyone know of discount (ie quasi legal free) motorcycle parking downtown? They are speed demons at handing out tickets to cars, what about bikes?

Specifically 1111 Fannin but willing to walk a dozen blocks if you have good spots. Not a fan of walking in the summer but until then who cares.

repost?
http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...wntown+parking

I see quite a few bikes parked behind Jones hall near their loading area, don't know if those people all work there, or if they have permission of any kind.

Don't park on the sidewalk as alot of folks do. Other towns allow it but it is illegal in Houston despite what some say.

Not sure to be honest, but I would bet it be one of the $250 and up fines the city loves to dish out.

The fire marshall can also fine you for parking in a fire lane by parking on the sidewalk. Not to mention that if the bike blocks enough space on the sidwalk and there are obstacles, it can make it a real problem for us in wheelchairs. So just don't park on them. There are a lot of things you encounter but never think about unless you are in a situation that is affected by someone else. This is one of those things. Like also parking in the striped areas around handicap parking. If I can't open my door because there is a bike in the striped area next to it, I tend to get off enough to push it over to make room. jk maybe lol
