Thumbs up 2013 motohouston highlights

What are some moto related things y'all have to remember this year? Personal growths, things that have happened throughout the year?

One big MH highlight are the central meets at outlaw Dave's. Way to go Ivan You found the perfect place to have them and they've grown into a huge meet. An event that all of us look forward to attending each month. Someone even got engaged at one of the central meets.

Some personal things for me was watching my first MotoGP race in person at COTA. That was awesome. Really looking forward to attending next year. I got my first track bike this year. Didn't get to turn many laps on it but I look forward to doing that next year. I felt my body position is what improved the most on the track this year.

I got to meet alot of people this year and ride alot. Looking forward to next year. Thanks for the good times guys. What made an impression on y'all this year?

First track day resulting in and followed by my first broken bone. Obed's K-Pop meets and Outlaw Dave's deserve honourable mentions as well.

Got my first bike after wanting one for a long time. Dont get to ride as much as I would like but it is still a good release when I do get on. Did my first track day and looking forward to many more. Met lots of good folks on MH and seeing the good deeds the community does for the members on the site.

Riding with friends, helping sisters and brothers with their bikes. Learning from Joe P at the Bootcamp. Hitting a drag strip with you for the first time and missing the light. Getting to ride with my dad in California. Riding with Jimrad & his good peeps. I can't complain, just enjoy good friends.

It was the loud bikes in front of him that scared the deer. Just saying.

We're HALFFAST BABY!!!

For moto related things I'll say riding Cota was the best part of the year besides our Rookie Racing Season! HALFFAST Racing Team was and still is a bunch of rookies that enjoy riding so much they want everyone to join. I'ts only because of Mark (Bluepine) and Joey Baila, that I was even able to be a part of this. This is something that I will never forget. We ran away with 8th place over all in our first year racing!!! We even started up a second Team to get 2014 even bigger.

Couple years ago I would never believe I would be racing in Oklahoma and North Texas Tracks only two months after a broken ankle that happened from another moto injury. I found a new love for mini bikes though. Now 9 extra screws later and a shackle on my finger the next test will be to take on next year and ride into the wind!!! If I can afford it...lol

I've met great friends..you guys know who you are.. Ivan for his Central Meets and parties all around! Also guys like Josh, Chris, Jimrad, Eric, Craig, Coung who believe our HF goals in will benefit our community. We were able to SDBORC all around Houston this year and was a blast!!!

It really has been an emotional year for me....Getting married changes your perspective on things. blah blah....For those that really know me, know I've done so much work trying to figure out what will provide best for me and my new Wife and continue this passion or some would argue addiction...Beginning of 2013 I was managing a campus for college students most who were unskilled adult students trying to reenter the workforce or move up in their careers. I was laid off on my honeymoon while recovering from my injury.

Thanks to Krazy Kris and Mr. P, they helped me get back on my feet. I will be forever grateful to them for all their help. I became good friends with them and anyone who has a chance to learn about riding from these guys should pay close attention. They also gave me the opportunity to learn about Skeeter Systems. No brain er huh...Skeeters in Houston..who would have thought...Anyone wanna get a system installed let me know I know a couple guys..Skeeter Dun!!! ..Now I work with Rod at Video Insight...

Riding is just like life...gotta prep, pre check, check, analyze, crash, get back on and try again.

1) Riding the 3 Sisters in April with duewhersmybike and Halen in in April and flying to Las Vegas to party like a rock star in the same week!

2)Scouting the Outlaw Dave's spot for MH meets with dudewhersmybike, Neon Samurai, and Boryder.....Newride rtook the ball and ran..the rest is history.

3)Setting up and participating in Ride/eat meets with Neon Samurai, GRSA, and more people than I can remember right now. I met lots of great friends by just getting out of the house, talking , and hanging out. More to come in 2014!

4) More a bad memory and hard lesson reinforced....riding my son's XR100 drunk and no gear...lowsiding and monkey my ankle!

5) No one I ride with perished in 2013!

My favorite moment was the guy who wrecked because he still had the manufacturer's stickers on his tire. Or maybe that was 2012.
