929 Issue

Picked up to the 929, running strong...sounds like it could us a valve adjustment im guessing....the higher it revs, the louder the minute clicking seems to get....any thoughts? what am i lookin at as far as a price to have the work done on the valves? Easy to do myself, or should I take it in to a shop?

I had a similar issue on my F3. It would go away once the bike warmed up. I had the Timing Chain Tensioner changed (they said it's basically the same as the CCT) and the problem was gone. Make sure the right part gets ordered though, they sent the CCT "guide" twice from Honda. Apparently both parts use the same part number or some garbage. It was over a year ago so I couldn't even guess at the cost right now but it wasn't too bad if I remember correctly.

when revving the bike at 2~3k rpm, the noice is pretty lound, its a clicking noise. while riding it, its not as noticeible (motly due to engine noise). I dont know the maintence history of the bike, so i cant tell what the noise could be.. any help appreciated.

Prolly the cct. Yamaha is the only one that can get that thing right. You can get a manual one for around 50.00 from ape
