The OP was asking if they were MH members. That's why he had one of these "?" at the end of the topic.

I got that, I was more making a comment about whether or not the previous poster (or more properly the police) was referring to the thieves as the victims. Lord knows if it had been Fastola they'd be dead with a mouth full of .

Man I wish this would be the end of it. But unless the thief is an illegal, some idiot he knows will give him advice to sue. And he could possibly win. Sad.

I would have done the same thing (shoot the thief) but I doubt they'll ever make it legal to take the law into your own hands. Imagine if a bystander was hit. Ugh.

All in all awesome job victim!

actually he can't sue the law does in fact state that you may not sue and that such cases have no merit if you are injured or killed during the commission of a crime

I like this, but I think they can still get you in civil court. At least that is what is still covered during CHL Classes.

Sad to say, more than a few CHL instructors are either out of date with current law, or never understood it properly to begin with

If you are nobilled by a grand jury if any criminal charges, or found ot guilty in a criminal court, then you have civil immunity from lawsuits by the bad guy or his family.

Now, they might still find a stupid lawyer to file a civil suit, but it would be a simple thing to file a motion for summary judgment and get their suit tossed out.

You cannot possibly be suggesting some a$$ Clown lawyer would file a petition without merit or standing?
